Raking Leafs

Mixing metaphors and casting cliches about hockey and the Maple Leafs for the ether's pleasure since MCMLXVII.

Flame out

So much for that Battle of Alberta blog. Maybe next year.
Indeed. The Blogosphere has been richer because of their contributions.
Leaf fans (editor's note: and Leaf detractors) always talk about Mats Sundin not having good enough line mates to play with, with all due respect to those involved, what about Jarome Iginla?
-Jay Onrait

Speaking of linemates, doesn't anyone remember Mogilny? And now that Quinn is gone, maybe Sundin's request to play with Wellwood will be hono(u)red?

and btw, I'm hanging out at spofi for the post-season. Come check out Weedy McSmokey and his eloquent insight, grum@work and his statistical prowess, and the rest of the hockey gang.

I really do think that Mogilny and Roberts were great wingers for Mats.

It's just that he was tied to Renberg and Hoglund for so long, the memory is painful...

Now all we have to do is acquire that pedigree of winger who can play for atleast 75 games.
